As per title. I've read it could be the MAF, however I changed my MAF (as my maf was goosed), for a second hand one and no codes have come up since. What other reasons could cause this?:-)

Are you doing it from cold? My van doesnt rev over 3k from cold. Granted its not a vag but could be the same reason

Not limited on a mk1 VRS. Unless someone has coded it into a map

Mine will bounce off the limiter in neutral if I want it to, as did my old Octavia so I don't think it's normal. Has the car been mapped?

Thanks for the replies. Yes Rtech has remapped it,stage2. Could it be tthe map? PS, I haven't revved it in gear when stationary, only in neutral..

I would think it has Rtech launch control enabled and set to 4k rpm.

Hmm, ill try it tonight in 1st gear, but i asked Rtech about launch control and i was told uprated internals are needed...

Well I've tried it in 1st gear and it seems I have launch control.. Lol :-)

Try it too many times and you'll also have a bill for

a new clutch and flywheel (about 700 quid supplied and fitted for OEM items.)

Be warned.

I'd budget for an uprated helix clutch and smf setup if you plan to use

your new feature often.

It's like flat-shift. Drive along and instead of lifting off the throttle when changing gear, just press the clutch pedal down. If the revs flare up, you don't have it. If the revs stay where they are more or less, accompanied with four rapid rev limiter-style shot gun bangs (probably with flames), then you have it. Don't blame me if your rods get spat out though.

Id rather not flat shift tbh as it seems it won't be very healthy on clutch and engine if I don't have it lol I'm more than happy finding out I have launch control lol
