Electric Windows

Featured Replies

Despite 6 visits to my local garage & a replacement door lock solonoid, my windows only operate intermittingly. The car has been checked for water ingress.

The only option I now have is to take it to the main dealer, which I would rather not do.

Any ideas?

I presume they have checked the switches.

The drivers window switch on my Fabia is starting to go a bit intermittent, but it's still usable.

I had this problem and then they stopped working all together it turned out to be the window motor in the drivers door. Luckily I had one from a previous car that I broke for spares not windows work fine.

Not being funny or sarcastic, Meg, and I know a lot of folks don't like to pinpoint their location for security, but an idea of where you live might help. e.g. If you reside in the midlands, Unit 18 is not far away ,and on the other side of the country there's Tech1e.
