Fabia vrs clunk

Featured Replies

I currently have an 04 fabia vrs with 126000 miles on the clock. Over the past couple of months it has started clunking seemingly from the front while changing from first to second and then into third. Also does it when setting off or taking a tight corner slowly.

Just recently had new bearing fitted at the front right and new arb bushes. Also just past its mot last week.

Any ideas much appreciated

I had exactly what you describe, changed doggone mount made it a little quieter, changed the console bushes (at the rear of the front wishbone) and its gone :)

Have a look at the console bushes, they are a known weakness and if its on the original voided bushes they will most likely be shot.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. Back in september I changed the full front end to polybushes before recently switching back to normal bushes on the arb due to wear on the polys. Would that have anything to do with it
