whistle noise - boost leak? possible silicone options?I k

Featured Replies

As per title been remapped about a month now to 168bhp/283lb torque all has been good thus far

In the last week I have noticed that the turbo is whistling alot more and after releasing the accelerator it continues to whistle

any ideas what this could be? is it possibly a boost leak?

I know the gasket on the top pipe connecting to EGR has deformed so need a new one, this deformed when i cleaned the EGR and put it back so need a new gasket.... don't know if this is the cause???

Reading previous topics can this be attributed to a boost leak or is it a tell tale sign of the KKK on its way out

Which option is recommended from the following;

1. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/274533-top-boost-pipe-replacement-diy/

2. http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/content.asp?inc=product&cat=200203&product=FMKT19TDi

(Can this set be made cheaper by buying all bits seperately? )

Cheers

That is so much money for what is essentially 2 rubber hoses!

Why on earth does it cost that much??

Don't sfs or others do a cheaper option???

From what I know, they're hand made to order, but even then £250 just seems silly.

I can't find one solid pipe other than the Samco ones

I got a set of Amazon for £190 (£299 at the mo, wierdly) odd for my BLT. Not fitted it yet but fantastic quality... The ASZ kit is at a low price for some reason:

Harry.

I'd just go the DIY route tbh. Works out about £80
