I've just bought a 'new' Fabia, an '03' 1.4 8v, just 42k on the clock and a decent service history.  My previous Fabia 1.4 8v has been run ragged; it has some major costs looming and I've decided to scrap it.  This will be our 5th Skoda - just can't keep away from them.  My favourite was a Favorit, but we've been seduced by the comfort of the Fabia, and the bit of genuine Skoda still to be found in the old 8v motor.
