Brake pedel to the floor, mk2 vrs

Featured Replies

I changed the brake fluid for new fluid and now the pedel is spongy and goes to the floor (they work) . I bleed the brakes correctly. Their is no air bubbles in the lines because I had a constant stream of fluid after 7 pumps of the pedel, Anybody got any suggestions?

air in system somewhere,

did you let the reservoir empty at any point?

not sure how you bleed the ABS unit if you got air in there, think it is a VCDS job, other may be able to shed some light on that one

Mines been like that from new, dealers are useless so would be interested on getting to the bottom of this myself. I do have a bleed botle that connects to an airline an pulls the fluids through at a vast rate of knots.

Get someone to hold Pressure on foot pedal, then release the bleed nipple. Make sure foot pedal goes alway down. Then lock off the nipple.

Make sure bleed pipe in in the bottle first.

Might need to do it a couple of times. Each time pump up the pedal and hold.

Mines a bit like that and the dealer changed my fluid....
