Resetting Service light using Code Reader

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just purchased a Gendan T55 to read codes / reset lights etc.  Been trying to reset the service light (service in 500).

I've tried all options in resetting the light on the unit (and read through the destructions etc), and it says it's been done sucessfully - however the light still pops up on the dash every time I switch on the ignition.

Has anyone else used these with more success?

*I know it's possible to reset without the unit, but I would like to understand how the unit works and how to use it*

In answer to my own question (in case anyone else might find it useful...).

The T55 will not reset the inspection service light (unless you pay another £300ish for a load of software and some more cables)..  This can be done through the menu on the dash though quite easily (thankfully).
