Still driving the Superb...my car is in the dealer's...

This is is the list of things that were to be done to it, not including the service it required...75k kms...

01) Dent removal right-rear fender

02) Left driver/passenger door respray

03) Grille touch up

04) Seat replacement

05) Seatbelt retractor replacement

06) Reverse gear replacement

07) Check bonnet release lever.

08) Paint strips next to CD Player silver

09) Spoiler rust check

10) Check windscreen rubber surround

11) Get side mirrors replaced

12) Check clutch pedal noise

13) Check suspension noise

They've pretty much done everything except replace the seat cover, The manager said I should be getting my car back today...I hope so...they're so good, they're even repairing a very difficult B-pillar dent that my lady contributed to over a year ago for free. I din't even ask them to do it, they called me and told me they would fix it for me...probably because I take such good care of the car in general, they wanna make it pretty too

Saw my car today, they also repaired the dent on the rear-right fender for free, and it was in the spray booth oven...gearbox is fine, few bits and pieces replaced that were supposed to be replaced the last time I took it in, but the guy who was handling it din't do a very good job :eek:...the Service Manager took over and he's seeing to it that my car comes out like I want it.

The doors have been resprayed, the driver side doors. Before when they resprayed my door under warranty because of chips, they din't remove the strips when they did it. And later I had asked them to remove the strips, and we saw that there were two layers of paint, and the second layer started peeling off. So they resprayed both of them.

Can't wait to get my car back...I like the Superb but it's too big and 'luggy' for me, and it's not as responsive as my Fabia. Then again...cruising is nice in it...but it's an old pre-prod model..yesterday the coolant light came on..went to the dealer's to get it checked..there was no coolant in the compartment..got it fixed...still though...I don't really trust the car.

Oh well...

I saw it today.

IT LOOKS BRAND NEW!!!!!! The nasty dent on the pillar is GONE! The rear fender dent is GONE!! And it's been almost fully resprayed it is now BLACKER than BLACK!!

I get it back tomorrow, can't wait!
