Fabia VRS power steering prblems

Firstly id like to state ive read lots of threads but nothing seems specific to the issues im having hence this thread.

Power steering the other day completely went, turned the car off for 10 mins and power steering had returned but feels very jerky. When turning it is sometimes stiff momentarily but then kicks in. It seems to be worst when taking corners at higher speeds apposed to crawling around corners. Other symptoms light blown symbol sometimes flashes then goes off immediately (3 times in 1 day) and the battery symbol stays lit until ive driven a few hundred feet most of the time.

Battery and alternator tested fine (less than a year old each). Repaired blue load cable last year and battery earth looks good. As far as I know theres no dimming in the lights etc or any other symbols coming up eg. Pas or eml. Still yet to check fluid levels but it just seems strange how it cut out completely with no warning or tell tale signs.
