We took delivery of our new Mk3 Octavia in early January having read the various reports on this as a tow-car.  The only issue we came across was that when buying the car we were unable to ascertain detail of exactly what the 'Towbar Prep' consisted of.  Eventually we found that whilst all the connections were available it did not provide 'Split-charge' connection essential to the modern caravanner!

Following further speech with our dealership SMC Skoda Exeter they agreed to rectify this FOC.  Everything now works fine and the Dealership were excellent to deal with.  We hope that now they have been taken over by Helston Garages T/A Carrs Skoda we will get the same level of personal service we previously enjoyed.

As regards the Octavia Elegance - we are very pleased with it and it certainly delivers everything we could have expected.  Brilliant car in every way.
