As above really.. 

Car wouldn't hold boost, and whenever I went passed an inch of throttle it would go into limp.

 

When I changed the turbo, the new one came with a forge actuator, the seller told me it went well on the car which he wasn't gunna say drove like ****e lol. (I did inspect the turbo) but didn't check or set the preload, didn't think I had to..

 

Anyway, I decided after advice to undo the actuator nuts and re do the preload. 

It was barely on 2 turns! On top of that, the locker nut was seized on the rod (had a mare getting it off using mole grips to hold the rod, plenty of wd40 ect), eventually got it off to find it was of differnt variety and near rounded! 

It looks as though they couldn't move the locker nut back so did the preload nut up to the locker nut and left it at that!! Cowboys

 

So now it is set at 3 turns, locked on nicely and the difference is night and day! Car pulls better, I can use the throttle travel properly and it holds the boost. Goes well actually.

 

So a long winded post, to describe today's shenanigans lol but I'm pleased.

Now to get the pipework sorted for the welly cooler I fitted a few days ago so she can breath a proper lungfull of cool unrestricted charged air and my new bumper that I spent last night hacking up for wide mouth is ready for mesh an  fitting this week

The small adjustments can make a big difference. Mines boosting at 22psi so I think l'll leave it well alone.
