Skoda Hands Free Integration

Featured Replies

Does anyone know anything about the Skoda Hands free kit mentioned in the OctyII owner's manual?

Before I ordered my car I took an Octy out for a day on test drive. It was the dealer's own motor and he had a handsfree kit fitted with dash mounted moulded cradle to support a Nokia 6230. No maxidot on the car though so I couldn't go through the menu to see if the computer picked up the cradle.

When I returned the car to the dealer, I asked him about it. He confirmed that if his car had maxidot fitted the handsfree kit he was using would integrate as per the owner's manual (eg Phone Book, Caller ID etc).

He priced this kit at about

As far as I know the kit does integrate with MaxiDot

Can anyone give details of the proper Skoda kit part No.s or model No?

That way way I can ask the dealer to confirm in writing to me what he is planning to install so I can check it before hand and hold him to it if the kit doesn't work properly.

More impotantly, does anyone have this kit? Does it work ok and can you post a photo of the cradle?

I'd be really interested in this too, if it integrates with the maxidot that would be cool!
