Looking at the new BlackVue DR530W-2CH Wifi 2Channel Lite and wondering as it can send the picture to my Phone via wifi can it also be used to send a picture to the Columbus during reversing?

Looking at the new BlackVue DR530W-2CH Wifi 2Channel Lite and wondering as it can send the picture to my Phone via wifi can it also be used to send a picture to the Columbus during reversing?

Can it do anything about the twinges I get in my neck when reversing?

Depends on which phone you have. I previously had a galaxy ace which wouldn't work, but now have a galaxy s4 which is fine. It'll also connect to atablet too. I think it's down to the normal pc type stuff of having a fast enough processor, enough ram and sufficient space to store the video files. I have the 500, not the 2 channel version

If only I knew what Mac Fad was talking about.....oh well time for another nap.

By the way, I used voice to call a friend and got a wrong number.....odd I thought.

Just discovered the joy of 'PHONE' on the Bolero and found to my astonishment that the contacts seemingly ALL had an incorrect number imbedded.......how could that happen??!!

I'm younger than you and don't know either! If its any help when I traded my mk2 se+ octy in I went into the phone settings and deleted the whole lot, so might be worth trying that and reloading your phone book...... Just don't ask me how!

Does the Columbus have WiFi?

It would be great, but.............

You would need a WiFi thingy plugged into the back of the Columbus if such a thing existed, then you would have to get everything to talk to each other.

I thought you had fitted a reversing camera ages ago?

Not to the Columbus.

And seeing as the BlackVue is Wifi, it would take some major electronics to get it to work

Now, a tablet at the front of the car, or your phone, now that would work as you said earlier, and I suspect many £000's cheaper. But it would not be automatic when reverse selected.

Best go for the VW reversing camera. Tried and tested and available.

Rockhopper; I've got all the bits to fit a reversing camera  but unfortunately have done my back in, can't bend or get down onm my knees to fit it all
