Best snow foam lance

Featured Replies

Hi all,

could I throw a question out to all the serious detail people on here please.

It is my son's birthday soon and I was thinking of getting him a snow foam lance, he is mad about cleaning his car so it is going to get a lot of use.

What in your opinion is the best snow foam lance out there that will take a lot of use please?.

Many thanks in advance.

Phil

What pressure washer do you have ?

Probably the autobrite one if it'll fit

The Autobrite foam lance on Detailing World group buy at £40 with 500ml of their Magifoam is hard to beat.

I run a basic cheap Karcher K2 pressure washer that cost £40 for Karcher outlet and I guarantee my snowfoam clings and cleans as well as any. The only benefit of going higher quality is a more reliable PW for extensive use. Higher pressure will give slightly thicker foam with less chemical but on a lower power pw you can compensate with a slightly neater mix :)

I have the CYC one.

Pretty happy with it but wish you could twist the end to make the fan

spray either vertical or horizontal. It's fixed at vertical and about

a total of about 1/3 of any foam  that comes out either goes right

over the car or onto the ground just in front. If you get closer you

get spray back and a face and eyes full of stinging foam.

I run mine either with my 3.65 Jubilee Karcher (induction motor) or

my 2.54 Karcher (Standard motor)

(It doesn't chuffing feel PH neutral either when it's in my eyes

Neither the Bilt Hamber or the Valet Pro are particularly enjoyable when

ingested via the surface of the eye.)

Is this a special deal for Brisky with a code or is it generally available?.

Edit - just re read the post and read the group buy bit - doh... :wall:

Autobrite is highly recommended!

Yep autobrite. I have a cheapo ebay one and its been gathering cobwebs since I bought the AD one. :)

I think a link is in order.

Just call them up and request the deal you want from this thread.

It has been running forever and a day so they aren't picky about checking if you are an active member of DW.

I find Magifoam has good cleaning power and super snow foam is a little gentler, beyond that, both are decent products.  Most order the magifoam, if you are cheeky like me you can even request if they would swap the Magifoam for one of the coloured variants (Green, Blue etc) to really weird the neighbours out.

Thanks so much everybody, and a big thank you for the link Sparkly. I joined Detailing world last month for a mooch around to see if I could get better at my own detailing. Is there a limit to how long you've been a member on there to get access to the group buy if they decide to play by the rules and question membership?

No limit, as Sparkly said, just give them a ring. Great bunch at Autobrite!

This ^^

And ignore any bad press on deliveries, their sales are simply too popular and they seem to get overwhelmed.

They have some excellent products, Fab, Cherry Glaze, Pink Sheen, Euphoria and the Hellshine range all get my vote big time.
