Bit of a rattle at idle - stops when i press the clutch?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Pretty much what the title says, at idle, i get a bit of a rattle that stops when i depress the clutch pedal, anyone come across this before?

Is the clutch on the way out, or something worse!!

Cheers

Dual mass flywheel is goosed probably.

Might just be the clutch release bearing?

Gaz

Clutch release bearing - will make a noise at idle and go away when you press the clutch

Dual mass fly - will rattle (can change tone when clutch is pressed) and can rattle on start up and when you turn the ignition off if you dont have your clutch depressed

One of these is probably your culprit lol
