No Aux in 2006 skoda octavia vrs

Featured Replies

Hi All

New here to briskoda, I bought a 2006 vrs 2 days ago and it has the newer radio with the maps ect not sure what exact model it is, I will get a picture soon, presumed that the radio had bluetooth so wasn't to worried about it, then I found out that it didn't. I have searched a lot of threads here about the 2006 not having the aux in the centre arm rest but my question is has anybody put one in themselves with the new radio? what does it involve, or did you get someone to do it for you and what kind of price was it to get fitted?

cheers

If it is a Columbus you can easily add aux, perhaps routing it to a switch blank below the climate control to locate the port.

You need a pinout diagram for the Columbus (see here:http://www.my-gti.com/529/volkswagen-rns-510-pin-assignments) and an aux port like this:

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/121335170880?nav=SEARCH.

You can take the green connector off the aux line and wire the separate pins into the appropriate locations in connector block in the diagram.

Even if its an MFD2 head unit I imagine you can do similar.
