Random CD Changer Issue

Hiya all...

So, having bought an ex-police Scout, the changer was never installed (presumably Police Are Not Allowed Music). All the wiring is there, so I get a changer off t'internet, and plug in the connector, the changer lights up, the stereo "sees" the changer, all good...

Except I cannot load CD's. If you press "load" nothing happens...... It doesn't even make any noise.

There is no slot.... well, there is a slot, but its blocked by metal. It looks - having taken the front plastic off - that the actual transport mechanism is not aligned with the entry slot.

Any bright ideas? (I'm guessing knackered transport).

Thoughts welcome...

Hello! I am looking for a direct SD card patch (FEC ALL / CID OFF) to unlock Smartlink and Carplay on my Skoda Bolero unit. Hi so recently purchased a 2016 superb 2.0 tdi 190. Absolutely love it but I’ve got an annoying issue with my speakers. So when purchased, 3 of the 4 main door speakers didn’t work which I replaced (brought speakers from local breakers). All worked fine for a few weeks untill the 2 rear ones stopped working. Have come to use the A/C for the first time this past week and noticed that pressing the button for the recirculating air doesn’t appear to work. Button presses but nothing happens it doesn’t light up and stays off Also through the media center doesn’t do anything, wondering if anyone has come across this before? Or is it a trip to Skoda?

Hi. I have a leak of diesel or oil from my Octavia 1.6 diesel engine and I am taking it to get steam cleaned etc today before driving down to a garage for them to check the leak . Is it ok for me to continue to drive my car around ? I have been for quite a while with this burning smell, the garage has said it should be fine but I just wanted some other advice. No warning lights come on and the car runs ok . Thank you.
