I want to change the factory speakers on my Octavia for some after market ones, my drivers door speaker has four wires going into a plug that plugs into the speaker, I need to know which wire is which and which ones to use please, my new speakers only have two terminals on them, a positive and a negative.

I seem to recall that two go up to the tweeter.

I have two blue and two brown, one of them has a white stripe running the length of the wire, would this one be the positive one?

Any help here ?

thats exactly where they are. If they are not there then they are missing and not that they weren't fitted.

 

If you put a multi meter on the cables you can tell if you are measuring the correct way round because if you have the multimeter + on the negative it will show a minus symbol
