Morning,

 

Does anyone know if its a hard job to adjust the handbrake on a Monte Carlo? Mine is feeling a little loose and requires a few clicks getting adjusted and doesn't hold as well anymore. A local dealers wants to charge 30 minutes labour to adjust this as its over 1 year old and not covered under warranty. 

 

Is it a hard job, do the wheels and drums needs removed? Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you think it may just be a case of adjusting my handbrake cable? I assume this is under the centre console as you state. Is this a easy thing to get off?

Start at the Drum First.

If you clean the brakes whilst your there, use Brake Cleaner Only, it comes in a spray can.

When adjusting the brake don't Over adjust..
