Are these any good? Anyone heard of them?

'Event Tyres' the Fitters are very good,

but are you asking about a Tyre Brand.

Why not go to local Tyre Fitting Centres and see what they can offer you in tyres.

Maybe one matching tyre for what you have on until you get a Matched New pair or the likes.

Brother currently has them on his Focus. Grip levels are pretty low..

How keen are you on ditches?

Lol. So thats a no then. Cheers

If your talking about Event Tyres (the company who sell and fit tyres) then I can highly recommend them. Used them 4/5 times and always spot on and so much easier with the fitting coming to you.

As for Event tyres (the rubber round things on your wheel) I echo previous comments, not a good tyre.

That would make a good calendar. Britains best ditches.... a bit like the roundabout one.

i had them on the back of my old 1.8 Focus ... gripped well and lasted nearly 80k ... no worse than any of the budget tyres

Maxxis MAZ1 are good cheap tyres but noisy.

As above,if its the fitters i can not fault them.I have always used them for both cars in the household...

My old brownbarge had events on the front when i bought it. Nearly new, the reciept was in with the history. Were about 7 weeks old. They were pretty poor in the wet but fine in the dry. They actually did pretty well in the snow though, probably due to the tread pattern.

Also i only got 4000 miles out of them before i needed fresh tyres

Just get some Falkens. Great middle price tyre. ZE914 should

be okay as long as you're not a full on road racer.

These are the kind of tyres that alloy wheel retailers slap on. Cheap, poor grip, awful wet handling... probably not too good in terms of degredation either.

You get what you pay for. The amount of times i've seen posh alloys, whether they are reps or not, wearing these tyres. They must see these people coming!
