Not got coil overs! It's a very tight budget car this, so all used/free parts are getting chucked on! Good to hear you like it, I am waiting to hear whether its a front or rear at the moment. It's the rear I'm after, already got a tt front upper brace to chuck on.

If it is FARB it is not likely to fit as would probably be for the VW Golf with different ARB / Drop link mountings

If it is RARB then you are ok as mentioned...

As a side note the TT upper brace is no match for a bigger FARB though, I would still upgrade the FARB

The guy has sold it already! Gutted. Let's just assume it was front and wrong. Was only £25 though! Yeah I know the strut brace isn't a match for a farb but it was mad cheap, and would get a rarb before a front anyway. Will keep looking I guess!

I had my eyes open for months to pick up a rear one second hand and just ended up getting a pair of h&r seat Leon cupra 25mm both, rear had been used and front unfitted, I paid £225 for them which is expensive but still £100 off New price. I guess for a pair not too bad really. I saw a whiteline one finish on eBay last night which was real ratty and well used that still went for over £110! Considering you can get one new from awesome for £150 its nuts. I guess it's one of those items that everyone wants and second hand carry a high value. Good luck with finding one though Mate!

Yeah they are pricy second hand too normally as they don't come up often. I paid £150 for a 28mm second hand Neuspeed RARB. I just refurbed it and painted it. Looked new when I fitted it. Those whitelines are OK but they are poorly painted and protected so second hand ones normally look well rusty and still go for reasonable price.

There's a few audi s3 and tt rarb's on eBay, they fit as well? Think they oem as opposed to upgraded items. Only be neuspeed mk4 golf but still £150.

Nope, sadly not as the TT/S3 are 4wd, from all the research I did, no 2wd mk4 golf chassis base cars came with a rarb out of the factory, so you are stuck with the aftermarket only for the rear. However for the front the octy vrs use the same set up as the LCR/tt/s3/golf 4motion/r32 as the stabiliser links hook up from the anti roll bar to the suspension strut. Any of the mentioned are an upgrade as they are thicker than standard octy vrs ones (as far as I'm aware, all of them are). But again after market ones can come in various diameters.

Don't buy a 2wd mk4 golf/bora after market front anti roll bar as they won't fit as stated above with the stabiliser link going from the wishbone to the anti roll bar.

Hope this helps mate

If it was the facebook one from robert winthorp mate it was a front bar anyway

Not quite true buddy, the VRS and all Golf platform VW do come with a RARB. It is just built inside the rear beam.

The 4WD VW chassis cars do not have the Rear beam set as per 2WD (as Diff and drive shaft set up) which is why they have a external RARB.

So true that the external RARB on 4WD will not fit the VRS   and the only option is aftermarket like, Eibach, Neuspeed, Whiteline , KW etc all for a VW Golf MK4 platform will fit.
