Can u get a full 18" inch alloy in the spare hole in the boot on a mk2 vrs?

You can in the boot of my estate.

It will raise the boot floor though.

I have a 18" spare and it fits perfectly and no raise boot floor.

Yes, definitely can on either hatch or combi, does not raise the floor.

Do you mean the round formed foam that holds jack, wheel brace, etc?  My car came with a 16" spare wheel and had that 'storage bit' fitted. 

Hmm, I had a 205 profile spare in the boot of my estate and it did cause the floor to be raised slightly. It was a pre-FL without the special raised floor.
