Gathering Parts for a FMIC install help

Featured Replies

Going to be removing Forge soon

Will be fitting a Welly cooler

But I want to install it using a BAM inlet manifold as i don't want pipes over engine bay.

Thoughts are to flow from TT throttle side  down to right side of FMIC and to then output to Turbo from FMIC left side to fit to std Pancake pipe and up to turbo as std.

Any issues with this set up??

So please advise what i need to do that.

What additional parts do i need to fit the TT inlet

I have SAI removed, breather simplification and no hard lines on current manifold so should be easy to just swap over.

I have already extended wires when i did injector wiring tuck under inlet so think i am ok there.

I read somewhere i need to get a different inlet support bracket (the TT one)

Also a bolt on alternator needs changing for shorter one????

Is there any reasonable pipe work to throttle body that exist or is it custom jobbies

A list of parts and pipework , hoses would be very appreciated folks.

Normally it is me giving the guides

Oooh I would be interested in this also please guys : )

What colour are your current forge pipes?

I have a forge fmic sitting in my garage but has blue pipes i wouldve preferred black? swapsies?

Getting the pipework down the left side is abit tight, mine runs down front of gearbox infront of power steering oil cooler pipe,

Mine runs off pancake pipe, i originally intended to do turbo pipe over engine but never got round to it,

I think the TT's original pipework runs infront of battery and then down into wing but think the metal work on inner wing there isn't enough space

I thought the stock pancake pipe was a flow restriction? It certainly won't help flow. I assume by no pipes over the bay you mean you don't like the K04 style hot side arrangement?

Do you have any pics of yours and how they are routed buddy.

Pancake pipe is not that much restriction tbh.

Not so much the k04 as the route to a ko3s is across the gearbox side to turbo but yes that approach.
