Day one with my new Citigo...

Featured Replies

I put a deposit on a Citigo fairly local to me on Tuesday after loving the test drive, collected it at lunch time today, in between I ordered a whole bunch of stuff which has gradually started arriving.

It's a Black 5-Door S with AC, only 11 months old and has covered 13k, managed to get it down to £6850, which seems like a steal from a main dealer (particuarly in the South West) for the amount of car I'm getting. Baby on the way in September which triggered the need for 5 doors (owned various things previously, a couple of Clio 172s, Suzuki Ignis Sport and a Sportka SE) and low running costs.

A brief view of the exterior...

Considering I was getting less than 30mpg in my last car, this raised a smile...

Lots coming next week, Black Auriga Alloys, new Skoda logo centre caps, Citigo mats and boot mat, Team Heko wind deflectors and probably some other things I've forgot. Tempted to investigate getting the front spoiler and rear diffuser fitted, but struggling to find out if the rear diffuser in particular is actually possible.

Congratulations on both counts!

Ideal car for your needs, I would think.

Certainly is, the wife has a Focus so plenty of space in that, but I wanted the second car to be of use as well. Tried our ISOFIX/Car Seat at the dealership and also got the travel system comfortably in the boot (which amazed me), so our plan b (Fabia Reaction) wasn't needed. I've gone from 30mpg, £280 tax and £300 insurance to 55mpg, £20 tax and £140 insurance, love it!

Considering I've had relatively powerful cars before I was very, very impressed with how well it nipped around, seems a lot better than the stats suggest. Love the engine noise as well, loads of character, sounds like an old 911!

Nice. Plenty space to fit child related items if you're clever and take just essential items (as you found out with the travel system).

I'm really impressed with ours as well. Doesn't sound tinny or scream down the motorway like a Aygo etc.

Enjoy!

Have you had a drive out today?

Which dealer in Wiltshire did you get it from?

Very nice. Will look great with the alloys too.

Congrats mate. I hope you can get the pram in the boot. Got rid of me micra because it was just not big enough for a family.

Drove to the Bournemouth Wheels Festival and back, 120 miles, averaged 64.5mpg, very impressive considering all single carriage A roads and lots of hills. Pleasantly surprised at the pace it could keep as well, overtaking was nowhere near as worrying as I thought it might be.

It came from Platinum in Bath. Turners of Erlestoke is my local but they only had an Auto in at the moment.

Good mpg you have so far :)
