Just logged into my company car website and now they're saying august for delivery. I ordered in March and was initially told August. This was then moved to oct and now back to August. Fingers crossed and FYI, it's a vrs estate

My VRS Estate TDI DSG got moved forward last week from Oct delivery to Aug (build week 30).

Maybe it might be true!! 5 months is still too long for a car

Of my new cars, first I waited 6 weeks (BMW 135i), second 5 months (Audi SQ5), third probably 5-6 months - waiting since Feb (Octy vRS), forth probably 5-6 months - waiting since April (Audi S1).

 

Kinda used to it and start looking for a car well in advance as a result. The only annoying thing is when you order and then there is a MY change before delivery - as I have had with the Octy so updated the order/prices as I wanted some of the new options. The answer I supposed is with VAG at least order in May to get the new MY options in the first place!

 

The biggest plus for me is the strong residuals. I got stung badly on the BMW after I stuffed it 11 months in, so now I only go for strong performers, which invariably means longer wait, but as i say, plan for it and it's no big deal.

I have heard from two separate dealers that production is being ramped up to try and address the amount of cancelled orders Skoda are getting hit with, fingers crossed this indeed the case.

Just got an email saying I have build week 27 now (w/c June 30th). So if this happens should have the car beginning of Aug. However will likely wait for 1st Sept for the new plate.
