Rear brake sticking binding

Featured Replies

My 80000 mile octavia's rear brakes are occasionally sticking. Either the near side or the off side but never both. There is an occasional squeak and the alloy wheel becomes warm to touch. There has also been an occasional smell of burning. The cars rear brake pads, discs and callipers have been replaced but the problem still recurs be it less frequently. What should be done next to cure this problem

I had a dodgy handbrake cable causing this. It was an absolute pig to change as the old cable wouldn't come out of the guide tube. The cable only cost about £10.
