Remapping octavia Vrs 170 pd?

Featured Replies

Hi, thinking about mapping my octavia and had read a few people saying its a bad idea on the pd engine, if anyone that's done this could let me know how it was for them would be great. Also thinking about using the "celtic-tuning emotion" so any experience with this would be helpful too. Cheers Dave

Bad idea on the PD? -_-

The PD is one of the most tuneable engines there is and there are great figures to be had!

You will not regret it. All I will say is use a REPUTABLE tuner - I reccomend Shark Performance :)

I take it be aswell to get rid of the dpf if I go for a remap?

Personally on the PD I would mate yes! Your not going to loose anything ( apart from the dpf ) only achieve positive gains.

I would recommend getting the dpf internals knocked out and the outer casing left where it is though ( Speak with Shark! )

Cheers, seriously fancy doing this but was more expensive than I expected tbh when I spoke to shark, obviously shark sounds like the best out there but could do it for half the money with celtic tuning, they include dpf removal on your remap if you want it where with shark it's 2 x remaps, a lot to spend on a 7yr old car with 80k on it. A wee bit worried about future mot's also
