GAHHHHH dinged the edge of me door

Featured Replies

I could kick meself. Been so careful with me Skoda since I got it a couple of months ago. Opened the door and dink hit the edge on a low fence I did not see.

Ah well, it had to happen some time. Off to the shop for a touchup paint brush thing. Halfords ok for these?

Neil.

If they're not too much of a step I'd go to the dealer. They'll be cheaper, and probably have a better range.

For instance, the last time I was looking in HalfFrauds, there were NO VAG greens listed.6 people at work had VAG cars, and 4 were different shades of green.

+1 on getting it from the dealer- I bought some touch up they mixed in store at halfords and it wasn't even a close match and as above the genuine stuff from the dealer will be cheaper (around £8 IIRC)

Cheers guys. Will get onto the dealers for a touchup thing.

On my old car (corrola) there were paint stickers in the glovebox to cover scratches when I got it new. All I got with the Skoda fabia was an xtra rubber aerial in the door pocket.

I banged the tail of the VRS on the roof of a low garage the day after I got it.

Wind blew driver door on my Superb against a crabby old Transit van the week I got it.

Not a mark on the van but a tiny chip on the edge of the door.

This is the trouble with having a new car. You become paranoid.  :notme:
