Even the RS initials have something to do with motorsport, standing for Rally Sport according to Skoda historians.

Celebrating a Motorsport Heritage and a Small-Light 1300 cc Rear Engined Rally car with a Small Car that has had recent Rally succsses would seem to make sense.

 

Thats not really a Octavia that serves that purpose, if Skoda are going to be hitching a release of a Faster Octavia RS onto the 130's Anniversary in 2015 IMHO.

 

The present World & European Rally cars that have been winning are Fabias ,

(Fabia shaped at lease)

and with a new R5 Car being introduced, lets hope they make more of that connection when Celebrating the 40 years on from the 130.

Doing a special RS version of the Fabia Replacement being revealed in October for 2015

would be appropriate maybe, rather than giving more power to a bit of a lump of a Skoda Octavia.

Or even more popular maybe, produce a Citigo RS version in 2015.
