Servicing

Featured Replies

Will hopefully be picking up my new Octavia elegance 2 litre diesel soon. Do I get the choice of whether I want fixed or variable servicing out will the dealer just do it automatically? I will probably be doing approx 12k miles per year or a bit more.

You can choose, just need to let the dealer know your preference, but if you buy the SUK service plan, it will have to be 12 month or 10k intervals which ever comes first up to 30k. If you buy a service plan from the dealer, they can tailor it to suit your needs. I have just switched to a dealer plan to cover from 30k onwards after the free servicing ends and it will switch to variable servicing after the 30k service.

Thanks Matt. Just noticed something.

When I ordered my car just over 2 weeks ago I had free interest on the pcp deal. I opted for the service to be included on the payments this included maintenance and parts. Just notices they are doing the free servicing for 3 years offer now. Where do I stand because I haven't had the car yet?

cancel the option you added then

it says on skoda's site they have free servicing on Octys but on the dealers site which is an official skoda dealer it says nothing. If I cancel surely I will get credit checked again for the finance since the original acceptance included the service payment?

Looks like it began on orders after 1st June on other dealers sites. Oh well, just missed out. Not the end of the world.

If you have signed the finance agreement, there is little you can do, but if you have not yet signed, most dealers would probably allow you to switch deals. If your car is not yet at the dealer, I'd be surprised if they have asked you to sign the finance as usually do this when they register the car, so hopefully you can still switch.

Where's the page about this offer as I can't for the life of me find the page on the Skoda site.

Edit: Nevermind, found it, I was looking for a separate offer page, then thought to check the O3 pages and see the offer.
