Featured Replies

Sorry to ask but I genuinly have no clue what rgey are worth. I have sone vrs front and rear seats in my fabia. Nice to sit in but I dont like the colour so im considering selling them. The rear seat has the middle headrest and three 3 point seatbelts.

Any ideas if its worth me selking them?

Excellent, honestly dont know how to search off my fone sorry. Will have a check on my desktop when I get home :-) hate these new fangled smart fones

I sold mine for £102 on eBay last year and they were in good condition. I'd say £100-150 but then I've seen some up for £400 but IMO £100-150 is what I'd be prepared to pay

Ha ye thats another reason why I was aking, to see if its even worrh the hasstle. I was hoping to sell for enough to get a standard comfort interior and still have some cash for a few bits and bobs it needs elsewhere. For £100 though I may just crayon the gray bits black :-)

Get them leathered! It's the only way forward and you'll luv 'em!

They aren't worth a lot at all. Perfect £150, anything less £100 or less though you could break up for parts if you are patient and maybe get a bit more.

Unless you are lucky (like I was watching the forums) getting something desirable won't necessary be easy, but worth the hassle if you do look around for something. When I did it the actual seats only really cost me £60 more, plus donor seats I had to buy so I could sell my vRS seats which weren't far off immac.

Comfort interior will be crap in comparison, no bolster at all. Really ? Yes in fact I like your idea about the seats, couldn't you just get the seat covers off and dye them black ? See if someone can offer you a crap ruined cover to just try a dye test on to see if it comes out like you want it to,

Comfort seats are fine, in a Comfort spec car.

Only good in a VRS if you don't like going round the corners briskly.

I'd suggest changing the colour as the above poster mentioned.

Or if you just want a decent interior you should be able to get a set of Elegance seats for £100 or so.

Again, for not driving briskly though.

Ahh yes fabric dye hmmm worth a go, cant make them look much worse :-)

Has anyone previously managed to successfully dye theirs though? I may have an old vrs cover in the loft you can have for postage if you want to try it on there first, save possibly ruining your saleable ones?

Just seen an Octavia project thread where the cream inserts on his seats have been dyed black I'll find a link now!

Oh that would be great if you dont mind :D i have been looking at various dyes online and it should be easy enough. the ones in that octavia looked good. id much prefere them in black. i just hope its possible to do it without having to unstitch the panels from each other.

cheers for all your help people :D

Why unstitch the panels ?

The "sport" interior (read as vRS interior just black all round) is guess what, black all round :D

I'd just remove the whole cover (easy enough, with the seats out, split, and hog pins removed to remove the covers). Then dye the whole seat cover.

But if you have been donated a cover then try it on here first, post up pics etc. Its not the sort of thing you should rush into and should plan/test it first.

Not really of interest to my own seats of course, I got rid of mine for spiffing Recaros I'm more than happy with for a paltry amount after selling. But a very useful discovery for anyone with standard seats, be really interesting to see the outcome.

Can't be worse than my wifes attempt to dye her hair :D  (shes gone from her natural brown/redhead to blond but back to a red hair dye now, it wasn't good!)
