Hi all, as title states, has anyone got a link or details of how I access a)  wiring diagram idiots guide to removing door card please

 

basically both my electric windows have stopped functioning

 

car is fabia 11 2007 '57' plate 1.9 tdi level 3

 

tried and check relevant fuses ( both healthy even tried off-setting blades to ensure tighter fit )

 

tried disconnecting battery for over 2 hours ( is this enough ? ) interestingly although no response from drivers door switches passengers door operates its window but ceases to function once car has been re-locked

 

I've tried re-setting windows via the key manually as per user manual but as both windows are already in the 'up' position nothing happens

 

ANY help AND all advice would be much appreciated

So, door card is out and still no obvious 'in' for the wires so its on with the thinking cap..

Taking the card of is easy enough......

2 X T15 screws at the bottom to be taken out then 2X T25 screws behind the 'C' shaped trim around the door release which just pry"s out. Then working from the bottom around the edges the card unclips. Then unclip the wire harnesses and the door release wire.

I can get the wire from the car into the door using the existing entry point and casing but can't get the wire out from inside the door skin.... If that makes sense.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with the electric windows so can't really help. I remember reading on the forum about water ingress at the switch but that's about my limit.
