VCDS Bluetooth Change on Bolero

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am writing to inform any other YETI drives with a Bolero.

On my FL Yeti even tme I would turn the ignition on the Bolero would start playing what ever was the last setting (Usually my MP3's on the SD card), then about 1 minute later the Bolero would mute and a few seconds later would bong as the Bluetooth connection is made to the phone, then a few seconds later the Bolero would start playing the music again. This was slightly annoying.

Yesterday a good chap came with his VCDS kit and made some changes for, one of which was to slience the bluetooth bong. After make the change, the bong has gone and now the Bolero does not mute when making the bluetooth connection. Win-Win

I also had the bluetooth initial volume set at a high volume as it has been quite low and I have to keep turning the volume up when answering a call. Now it is fine.

I also had the following done as well...

MPH in Maxidot with option to switch between mph/kph

Cornering Fogs

Tear Drop on rear wiper

Needle Sweep (for fun only)

3 things were not able to be switched on, VCDS change made but no difference, these being..

Coming Home Fogs

Tear Drop on Front Wipers

Display Cruise Control Speed in Maxidot

What is Tear Drop please?

Fred

The Bolero in mine has me perplexed (still) with volume settings when switching from media to radio.

The AM station I listen to, has a v strong signal, but sometimes, when I change back to media the volume is way too loud.

I'm not too sure that it happens all the time either.

Understanding the ICE/phone system of the Yeti remains a bit of a mystery which, without a VCDS thingy, will probably remain so.

To add to this (as I made the changes), there were no options in VCDS to enable FRONT tear drop wiping; only rear.

Tear drop wiping is where the wipers do one extra wipe a few seconds after it's finished cleaning the screen.

For the record I changed the BT volume setting to 7.4 db as documented on various forums.

I've also tried displaying CC speed before on a Fabia & a Yeti but, despite the tick box being there, it doesn't work.

I suspect that there is another displayed item that needs to be got rid of in order to make space (or it can't be done in Australia - related to MPH display).

CHL on fogs, I've started a thread on in the VCDS section. Please post thoughts on that one there.
