Thanks guys for quick response.... just thought would check as i had a golf before and there was common issue were a join in the pipe would break.....

Thanks

On pre-FL Octavias there was an issue.

Have a look in the spare wheel well or behind the NSR wheel arch interior trim for water or wet patches.

A very, very common fault.

You may be lucky as above and it may just be a blocked nozzle, mine was rusty for some reason. I soaked mine in boiling water and vinegar overnight which worked a treat... for all of a week!

The issue is that people persist on trying to unblock it by continuing to try and use the rear wash function. All this does is eventually pops off one of the connectors. Usually one that is the most awkward to reach or causes the most water damage!

I clean mine as part of a weekly car wash ritual, needed or not. I remove the nozzle and run a small modeller's drill (#68) bit through both holes, and flush out the grot.

Lucky mine was a blocked nozzle but pain in the ass to set up jets when your doing it by yourself

Not the rear one, surely?

They're terrible for blocking especially with cheap screenwash (Tesco's was the worst) but even with the fan jet approved stuff then damn thing would still block.

Adjusting them really is a nightmare!!! get them just how I want them,  put the cover back on and the water hits the cover. Thinking of making the two holes into one big hole.

Again, are we talking about the rear washer jet here.  Mine has no adjustment and the cover has only one hole through which both the jet holes in the nozzle spray.

On the rear of the hatchback I removed some of the plastic, Gave a much wider angle for adjustment :)

2 holes in the cover which will be 1 in about 1/2 hr thanks to comment by  Rainbowfire. 2 jets in the nozzle inside the cover which can be adjusted for direction as most others are.

Like I said , one big hole, adjusted the nozzles with a pin brilliant result.
