Creaking rear suspension

Featured Replies

My rear suspension has developed a creak when you rock the car side to side on the drive. I presume it is a simple case of worn bushes etc. Can anyone shed any light

The car is a Standard PD100 comfort with VRS wheels and some heavyish ICE in the boot.

Melt your ICE in the boot and see if it does it then!

Does it still do it with the handbrake off?

@ Robbo51, tried that, just left a big puddle in the wheelwell :P :D

I'll have to check tommorrow at work, my drives on a slope :(

creaks facing up and down.

Its probably just the disc moving inbetween the pads when the handbrake is on as mentioned.

Stick it in gear, let the handbrake off and try it.

Yeah tried it at work today with the handbrake off and in neutral (on the flat), it was perfectly quite. Nevermind :o

Cheers all!
