front electric windows & central locking

hi every one just after a we bit of info 
i have an 05 fab vrs i had a break in the wires at the A pillar last year and got them fixed but now the central locking is messing about the key fob wont lock pass door and the electric window switch on the drivers door is really pi ssing me of it takes 3 or 4 goes pulling and pushing to get the both front windows to go up and down  is there anything that i could check 1st or is it the locks a electric switch thanks in advance mark

i tried searching on here but couldn't find a real answer
