You Tube Convertor?

Featured Replies

Anyone got any experience of this?

Such an unfathomable amount of music available to load onto an MP3 player.

Any good?

Ease of use for  a self confessed numpty?

Better sites to use?

Snags?

I know nothin'

I use www.clipconverter.cc

That allows you to download in a variety of formats, and even choose to just download the audio of a video too as an MP3........it will also allow you to chose the video quality from 1080p all the way down to 144p depending on the quality of the original video.

Mp3, Mp4, AAC, MOV, M4A, 3GP, AVI.

You will be unable to select a 480p video and convert it to 1080p,

Clipconverter is particularly useful as it not only downloads YouTube videos but Vimeo and a host of other video types too.  There are a few obscure video sites it does struggle with, but they are few and far between.   :)

Hope that's useful for you Mr Ree.

But I only want the music really, or can't this be done?

I use the official site if I want to see the vids.

I'm a bit confused....again, and those numbers you are referring to mean diddly squat to me too.

Sorry Mr Ree.

If you like the audio in a YouTube video, and want to download the audio only, Clipconverter can do that, and if you want to download the video with audio as a self contained file, Clip converter can do that too.

What program do you use to watch the video you have 'downloaded' with the ListenToYouTube link??

Don't really understand that either tbh.

I just watch You Tube on their own web site via here, which is either Google Chrome or Firefox.

Sorry, but most of the pooter jargon goes WAY over my dopey head.

Being an audio visual technician, this is totally my domain.

On site we'd use www.clipconverter.cc to convert and download youtube clips, and then play them using VLC Media Player.

I've used Keep Vid (http://keepvid.com/) for sometime now.

You enter the URL of the clip you'd like to save, it then offers the option of saving it as a variety of video formats, or simply MP3 (audio only).

I use Realplayer SP which downloads and then converts to any format eg:mp3 etc :)

I've used Listentoyoutube but I've noticed lately that there's a lot of popups and "download" links that are confusing and result in you potentially downloading software you don't need or want.

I think I'll be using one of the other sites in future I think

Theres plenty of programs to download videos from youtube

I use AppGeeker converter (http://www.appgeeker.com) all the time, it has downloading and converting function all in one place.

Of course - any videos that are downloaded are not subject to copyright etc :)

That's the one I've used for years with no problems. You can download a program called Free Studio which has loads of different program's on it (all listed on the website) or just which ever individual ones you want, such as just taking the audio from a video or downloading the whole video if you want. Every now and again it will ask you to download the new version which is worth doing, keeps it speedy and they make little changes. Very easy to use though, would definitely recommend it.

I use that site occasionally, works perfectly for me, saves the music from the videos as an mp3 file.

Great suggestions from all.
