Question Re OEM roof bars

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've been offered some OEM roof bars for my Octavia. However, they unfortunately don't come with the torque wrench tool that I have read up about and I am unsure of whether they are the A or B part number. If it's just a case of it's gone missing, could a cheap replacement be bought of flebay or something in my tool box be used? How important is it that this tool is used on the bars?

Thanks in hope!

Woody

I have oem bars not sure if they are A or B but its just a regular allen key fitting so losing the wrench tool is no big deal, just be careful not to overtighten when fitting

Thanks buddy, that's comforting to know. I've sent a PM...

I THINK the tool torques it to 5NM (from my own research having just bought some and also not having the tool). TBH I haven't got a torque wrench that registers that low but I think you can get them from amazon and/or cycle shops for £10 to £15

yeah IIRC its 5NM
