Adjusting head light washers - dealer job?

Featured Replies

Hi guys

As thread title, is adjusting the headlight washers a dealer only job? Every time I use mine it deposits more water on the windscreen than the headlights!

This, plus a few other little things lead me to believe that my supplying dealers idea of a pdi is vastly different to my own!

There is no adjustment, I can't see how you can get more on your windscreen unless you extant about a foot higher than they should.....

I was only travelling slowly at the time, wind resistance for the spray would've been minimum

It's just a trait of headlight washers.

The screen wash is sprayed at the headlights under high pressure. A good portion of this spray will bounce off, and as you are travelling into the spray it will cover the windscreen too.

If the headlights are in need of a wash then I'm sure it wouldn't do any harm to give the windscreen a go too :D
