Pipewerx 3" Downpipe to Milltek Cat-back Exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

A question. I have a Pipewerx 3" DP with 200 cell sports cat to be fitted to a Milltek 2.75" Cat-back exhaust (have a bag of clamps and what appear to be reducers?) The Pipewerx downpipe comes in 2 sections for the vRS (pre-face lift).

Is it a simple straight forward fit putting these together? Apart form the gasket from the turbo to the downpipe do I need anything else?

Thanks,

Stu

Now I'm confused.

I have this downpipe from Pipewerx (for a mk2 Octavia vRS TFSI):

However; I have just seen this:

It appears I have been sent one for a mk5 Golf GTI; although my paperwork states Octavia vRS. Have I got the correct downpipe as the one I have appears longer than my stock downpipe?

Now I'm thinking; if the downpipe I have is for a mk5 Golf GTI with a longer downpipe; will that mean the total length of my exhaust system (including the Milltek cat-back section) will now not fit my vRS due to being too long?!

Golf has always had a longer DP than RS (or vice versa).  Often the reducer is a separate item & you have to cut the DP shorter.

I guess if you ordered it then you'll have to wear the cost of modifying it to suit but if they supplied the wrong one then they should swap it over for you
