I have a new Superb on order, which was built in the last week of May. I have been informed it is dockside in Germany currently. How long does it usually take to arrive in Southampton and get to the dealer from build? Any help would be appreciated. I was told 2 weeks by dealer, and now told it will be another 3 weeks.

Mine took just over three weeks from production to arriving at the dealers and then another couple of days for me to drive away.

A lot will depend on train times to the port and ship times to the UK.

When I drive over the m5 bridge by Bristol I can see thousands upon thousands of cars in the Avonmouth docks below, it's hard to make out what make andcmodels they are as they are so far away. I just hope mine wasn't there for long if at all

I was informed by the main dealer that the cars come into Southampton, and are distributed from there. I drive past Southampton twice a day, and could pick it up from there

Mine came in via Felixstowe from North Germany.

Ones at bristol are fiats.

Sheerness is another port as well as Tyne. I believe there are about 5 or 6 ports (not definite on the numbers) that the cars go to depending on where the ordering dealer is. BUT on occasions we have had cars end up being shipped to other ports if the car has sat in Emden (Germany) too long.

 

General rule of thumb that we use is a week to 10 days in Emden until it is shipped and about the same to get to us from UK port, so about 2 - 3 weeks but there are a lot of factors that will delay the deliveries. The main thing is to enjoy the new car when it arrives.

Spoke to dealer yesterday, and car is still in Emden, Germany. Car was built in last week inMay. Seems to be taking a long time to arrive in UK.
