iPhone won't charge

Thanks Jaek. I have ordered one from Amazon. If that does not work I will try the one from your link. Let you know when they turn up.

All a waste of time to keep on posting about checking if he has power, as he clearly states earlier in the thread that he has. ;) ;) ;) ;)

Oops checked , says the light comes on on all sockets, IF there is power then it should be OK, they supply plenty of amps so if the power IS on there should be no problem with charging a crapple or anything else, Easy check is plug the lighter in but its missing from a lot of cars now.

I'm guessing you're not exactly a fan so :)  I used to be one of those until I got fed up of the androids crashing and mail getting stuck etc.  I also find far less problems with intermittent BT issues in the car with the iPhone.  Having said that none of them seem to last any length these days however no matter which one you go for....

Dont want to hijack the thread, both a 5s crapple and HTC One droid are charging in the Superb ATM, replaced a 4s and HTC Desire in the last few months, joke in our house is that the Apple is a fashion accessory and the HTC is a phone. Back on topic.....

Andy, is it the phone simply won't charge or is it the phone doesn't charge but the charge mode and light is shown on the screen?

If it isn't showing charging mode try a new usb cable.

Cool, glad you resolved it.  Which one did you get?  I remember now that I bought the 1A one as it had a little pull loop to be able to pull the charger out of the front socket more easily.

Got a Veetop® Dual USB High Speed (MFI Certified) Car Charger. this is small enough to fit in the ashtray when closed but seems to work great.

iPad and iPhone from a single charger.  Looks good.
