What did I see?

Featured Replies

I know you are all better at car spotting than me. I saw a rather quick Vauxhall and couldnt make out what it was. From the back it had an exhaust pipe from each side, the rear lights were almost lexus like and it had a griffin on. I couldnt make out the model, but it was quite quick. It was a nice bright red btw and wasnt a Corsa. ADDED: It was a coupe like car.

Any ideas??

Saloon/Hatchback? What sort of size/shape was it ie. Golf-sized or bigger? May have been a Monaro?

This?

I've just added a bit. Whats a Monaco? I thought VX only did Corsa, Agila, Astra, Vectra and the big MPV thing. The name escapes me of the MPV and it def wasnt one of these.

Walkie, nope. It had a single pipe on each side and they were higher up. And it had a griffin in the middle just below the spoiler. And the exhausts were in a black part of rear bumper. It had a private reg too, not sure I should post it, I'll probably get it wrong anyway, but the reg on Walkies made me remember it.

zafira, that there is a big engined brute of a car. super fast saloon thingy

Deffo not a Zafira, but thats what I was meaning by MPV yes, thankyou

It wasnt a Vx220 sporty job was it? About the same size as a Lotus Elise?

Edit: Exhausts are in middle on these so that rules that out...

Found it, it was a base spec Monaro. Not the VXR jobbie which really threw me as the reg had 'VXR' and it seems the VXR is VX's sporty cars. But it was quick I can tell ya.

5.7 litre V8 in them isnt it? Monster...

Thats what VX site suggests, wether thats all specs I'm unsure. But it pulled away very well.

vaxhuall are doing some nice quick cars at the moment.. espcially with the launch of the 240bhp astra...
