Help! Anyone heard this before?

Featured Replies

My car has recently ben in for an MOT which cost me quite a lot on front shocks and springs.

A couple of months before I took the car in id started to notice a kind of dull rattle coming from the rear of the car.

Kinda sounds like something is loose but it only rattles when I go over uneven road surfaces, its fine over speed bumps and on level roads. I asked a friend on mine to sit in the back and see what he thought, he seemed to think I could either be bearings or bushes.

So before I took my car in for MOT I told them the problem and asked them to see what it might be, they checked bushes and bearing and couldn't find anything loose.

When they told me my front suspension was shot I thought this must had been what was wrong but I still have the rattle now

I hope someone will be able to help???

shock absorber dust cover come loose maybe?

Probably rear anti roll bar drop links, they are quite cheap to replace around £30 for a pair

+1 for the rear drop links

Mine also does this! Glad I clicked on this topic!

Estate or hachback? Mine was the inner boot fascia bit that drove me nuts until I sat in the boot and got a mate to drive.
