Courtesy car

Featured Replies

So 19wks waiting and unconfirmed bw of 29. Has anyone managed to get a car off dealer/skoda to fill the gap. If so what criteria is needed?

My current vehicle , transit connect is no longer suitable and I really need a car. If my car was to meet its original 25wk quote thenit would be ok , but that looks slim.

In one of my last conversations with SUK I was told by a seemingly very knowledgeable and helpful member of their 'customer care' team that after 18 weeks they would supply a car… you just have to do it through the dealer.

Apparently the 'factory' (i.e. Skoda CZ) pay for it.

Didn't take the deal myself as I'm using it as a bargaining chip for other things… but have no reason to disbelieve what the guy said.

My dealer taxed my car for me and held the PX price, plus threw in plenty of extras etc for me, my car was due before the tax ran out and I flatly refused to have to spend £100 on tax when I should of been having a new car with the first 12 months tax included, so they taxed mine for me, they were reluctant to put me a courtesy car and it didn't bother me, however in the past a few years ago I had a courtesy car when I reached a certain point, so yes its perfectly feasible, just be strong and polite with your dealer, explain the situation and that you have been told by Skoda UK that it is the case you are entitled to a courtesy car etc and I am sure you will get what you need.

Yep my car was delayed (surprise surprise) and the dealer organised a replacement vehicle for me to have for the month before mine arrived. I ended up with a Passat estate.

I think the criteria is simply that the car isn't delivered in line with the expected delivery date on the paperwork
