Hi, Today I have had my  2013 1.8tsi Dsg elegance recalled for an gearbox oil change, has anyone else had this? and if so did they manage to get a reason-I couldn't- the receptionist pleaded ignorance.

if it's a 7 speed dsg, then it's across the range of skoda,vw etc. it is an oil chance from Synthetic to mineral based oil.

 

It was called a service campaign hen applied to the Fabia .

Something to do with the synthetic oil potentially causing a short inside the mechatronics unit.

 

They should also be applying a software update the DSG controller too so check they are doing that too.
