Been busy with the Fabia

probably getting too old for this malarky but bought a fabia a few months ago after selling my very nice mk2 octavia vrs.

Cylce to work most days and sold the car to stick some money in the bank before the value dropped out of the car. Bought the fabia as had previously owned a couple while I decided on buying the Octavia.

Anyway bought with 116000 miles on the clock 110000 done completely on the motorway as first owner drove a 180 round trip every day 175 of this on the motorway. The car was in excellent mechanical order the clutch for example being like new with never really being used that much.

The bodywork however althhough looked nice was peppered in stone chips on the front end. The fog lights looked like they had been sand blasted lol.

Anyway stripped the car down and prepared the old girl for a full respray. Stripped all door rubbers bumpers lights etc etc.

just got her back from the paint shop and put her back together. I sprayed the front grill in gloss 2 pack black as well as the chrome suround and fog surrounds.

I am chuffed to bits. also fitted brand new 312 discs and recon calipers. Cupra splitter and new fogs as they were only £27 the pair from euro parts. Shark stage 1 and a milltek to finish the look off.

I am quite ocd and sprayed all the plastic liner screws which were removed as well as a few other bits.

It sure is.

A mate who owns joint owns a car body repair shop painted it for me for the bargain price of £600. An absolute give away even though the car was ready for the top coat still enough work involved.

Really happy and like you say like getting a new car lol.

Re the plate looked at private for years but wasn't that bothered, but this came up and my birthday is 16th of March (16/03) so had to have it.

Cheap as chips when I got it about £275 if memory serves me right.
