I have a dragon digital box on my golf pd150.I am asuming this will be ok on the VRS pd130,as im asuming the one box covers all the PD engines even though it say PD150 on the box.Am I right?

I want to try it before I get the VRS remapped,not that iv got the VRS yes but at midday tommorow pick up new one.

Mr Hoot just specifies one box for the 1.9 PD engine so it should be ok, although you could drop them an e-mail to confirm.

If they are the same, then it suggests the "map" they use is pretty generic which would be a bit disappointing if it was the case.....

Well I sold my pd130 one to a mate with a Passat with a pd115 Passat and it works fine.

It does a job But I reckon the map could be tweaked for the specific characteristics of the engine to do it better :P

No the map in the digital tuning box Analog tuning box is basically a resistor mod to up fuelling, digital box has its own ECU with a map in to vary the resistance across the rev range....

Just to defend the digital box having the same map for all the pd engines.You still have all the complexity of the vag map for each engine the box just adds a little to it therfore will work on every pd engine.Thats my theory anyway ;)It works unbelievably good on my pd150,The torque is so great the clutch struggles ocationaly so they do work very well and not a hint of smoke on setting 11 although smokes on setting 15 at max revs.Anyways im getting a vrs tommorow and when remapped i will be able to compare the 2

If it's a truly new car (zero miles) you might want to run it for a bit before adding the tuning box. The brakes on mine took ages to bed in properly.

Iv had a few vw polo`s in my time so im used to iffy brakes lol.After the wifes Golf most brakes feel a little weak.Great brakes on the Gti

brakes - 1500 miles before they worked as they should...
