spraying fail :(

Featured Replies

So attempted to spray a bit of my front wing and rear arch. Sanded, primed, sanded, paint, sanded and then top coat. My fail was when I removed the masking tape from the area my sprayed section is not flush with the body work around it. By a big margin too. What should I do? Sand it all back flush and mask a larger area but dont spray upto the mask lines? Or can I some how fix it and blend it? So annoyed as it was looking good till I pulled the tape off lol.

With the little spraying i have done i found it best to mask off whole whole panels, and blend. So for example for the wing, mask the arch, door, bumper, and windows off, spray the area you want + some to blend it in. A good polish after that and from my experience should be a good result.

But tbh i think that is what you have described doing to sort it anyway, hope this helps a little.

If you masking tape anywhere before spraying, you will always end up with a line!
