got the car back (again)

Featured Replies

Not been on for a wee while as nothing really to report really. Started to get really good fuel economy (got 67mpg on my commute last week), but I had to send my car in to get a new heart (fuel pump). I got the car back today and found out it also had it's brain replaced (ECU). I really didn't see that coming. So in total, I reckon I have had replaced:

Clutch

Flywheel

Door handle

Clutch pedal

Fuel pump

Main ECU

If it was an animal, I think it would have been put down by now..

Hopefully, fingers crossed that is it... I wonder what that would have cost without the warranty???

Yipes, you've been unlucky. How old is your Octy and how many miles have you done?

I've had it since last September and done 7200 miles. Not much really. It's a shame as I have wanted one of these for a long time, but when the lease on this one ends in a couple of years it will certainly be the last skoda I buy. Glad that I seem to be one of the few with a 'Friday afternoon' car and most of you are having better luck.
